“Les Fauves”, a short animation by Stefan Taçi, restored in 2K

“Les Fauves”, (7′) is an art-film from directed by Stefan Taçi. Produced in 2003, the animated film is a tribute to Henri Matisse and the fauvist movement he started (fauvism).

“Les Fauves” is crafted to recreate the paintings of the famous French artist. Through various animation techniques and real-life footage, the film is a tribute to life, art and all the innocent people killed by blind violence of any kind.

It comes in the restored version, with wonderful colors close to the original, deep black and white visuals and with high quality of picture and sound, done by Quality Matters studio in India.

“Les Fauves” was restored thanks to the joint collaboration between the Albanian National Film Archive, ABI Bank and Harabel Contemporary Art Platform. A partnership that will continue to work for the restoration of the national film heritage.
