| Synopsis | On the occasion of the congress in Durrës, several inaugurations take place. Scenes from the inauguration of the first 5-ton electric winch, the inauguration of the first Albanian 100-ton passenger ship, with delegates traveling on it. The inauguration of two new lines at the radio factory, the printed circuit line and the transformers line. Present are Mehmet Shehu, Hysni Kapo, Adil Çarçani, Kadri Hazbiu, Lenka Çuko, Manush Myftiu, Rita Marko, Prokop Murra, Pali Miska, Llambi Gegprifti and the congress delegates. Listening to the discussions are Hekuran Isai and Qirjako Mihali. Foreign delegates also take part in discussions. The pioneers greet the congress (synchronous sound). Receptions are held in the homes of Durrës residents, with Nënë Pashku speaking with the host family. The congress proceedings continue. Kadri Hazbiu reads the greeting of the Party’s Central Committee (synchronous). Applauding are seen Dritëro Agolli and Ismail Kadare. On the occasion of June 1st, in Rinia Park, children perform concerts; the Party leaders come to meet them, dancing and enjoying together with the children. The congress discussions continue. Xhanfise Keko speaks. Tefta Shehu, delegate from the “Traktori” factory, discusses, with scenes from factory work. Bedrie Duraku, delegate from Kukës, presents aspects of cooperative work; Ollga Paguna from Dropull, Dituri Dina from the metallurgical plant, with scenes of women working in metallurgy. Themie Thomai presents work in the fields. Haxhire Dervishi from the “Stalin” textile combine shows aspects of work in the combine. Ollga Koçi, delegate from Fierza, presents work there. Military delegate Ilirjana Sulkuqi discusses aspects of training for women and girls. Enver Hoxha meets the speakers one by one. A folk rhapsodist greets the congress. As Enver Hoxha departs, he meets foreign delegates. The winners of socialist competitions are announced. Vito Kapo speaks on behalf of the newly elected Central Council. Scenes from the grand concert organized on the occasion of the congress’s closing follow, attended by Mehmet Shehu, Hysni Kapo, Vito Kapo, Nexhmije Hoxha. Performances include Zeliha Sina, Vaçe Zela, and the children’s choir. |
