| Synopsis | From Tirana, the youth set off on an excursion that will follow the route taken by the First Assault Brigade. The commander of the march is Vehbi Hoxha. Among the participants is also Dritëro Agolli. The route continues through heroic Peza. The youth cross the Devoll River on foot and take a short rest. The chairman of the village council together with the commander of the excursion расска to the youth some events from the journey of the First Assault Brigade. Villagers accompany the youth along their journey. Along the way, the wind blows. Mount Tomorr, covered in snow, can be seen. The brigade crosses the Tomorrica River. They enter the village of Dobrenj in Skrapar. The road is long . They pass Guri i Prerë and Qafa e Gjarprit. During this route, the youth find a piece of a shell. The young man Bahri Xhangolli remembers at this moment his brother, a martyr killed in this place. The excursionists pass through the Zerec Gorge and head towards Moglica of Opar. The people of Moglica welcome them just as the partisans were welcomed during the war. In Strelca of Gorë, the pioneers have come out to greet them. They cross the Sulka bridge. Along the way they cross a rope bridge and walk through the mud of Mokra. The film’s director, Endri Keko, takes notes. The road becomes more difficult. They pass through Guri i Kamjes. The snow has numbed their knees. It begins to rain. They arrive in the village of Dunicë where the partisans captured 500 enemies alive. Now they are in a partisan base. The elder of the house, Estref Braholli, tells them how the headquarters of the First Brigade studied until late the instructions of the Party and of Comrade Enver Hoxha. After a two-day rest, the youth set off toward the northern areas. Here Mehmet Shehu arrives accompanied by Petrit Dume. Mehmet Shehu speaks to the youth, while a girl places a partisan scarf around his neck. The commander of the march addresses the youth, showing them on a map the route taken by the First Assault Brigade. During the journey they pass the uphill of Skrokskë, where the brigade found itself surrounded by enemies. Villagers welcome the youth with joy and accompany them along their path. Hoxhë Shota, although disabled with one leg, walks along the difficult road. They pass at the foot of Mount Shebenik, whitened with snow. At the Dragoshtin mountain pasture, the youth of Librazhd have gathered and welcome them with music. Some visit the house of Aishe Kadiu, who tells them that Mehmet Shehu once stayed there. The youth sleep outdoors near lit fires. The journey continues toward Qarrishtë. The veteran fighter Vehbi Hoxha tells them that in Qarrishtë the enemy had set ambushes everywhere. They place a wreath at the martyrs’ monument. They proceed toward the stream through which the Brigade passed to break the encirclement. In Zabzun they see the house where the writer Haki Stermilli was when the First Assault Brigade arrived. In Prodan of Dibra they are welcomed with an orchestra and greetings. In the neighborhood where Enver Hoxha stayed during the winter operation, a concert is held. The youth of Burrel, cutting through the snow, arrive after four hours to meet the excursionists, joined also by the youth and women of Martanesh. Villagers welcome them with songs and dances. A girl with a bandaged leg continues the journey and refuses to turn back. They pass the school of Volë. In the village of Volë, villagers welcome them with buttermilk instead of water. The youth continue walking through the mountains. At the Great Stone of Mat, villagers greet them with flowers and applause. Passing through rain and snow, they arrive in Selitë, Shënmëri and Shëngjergj, and finally, after 21 days of marching, they reach Tirana. |
