| Description | May 1 holiday. View of Tirana. On May 1, 1955, the employees of the job centers and the residents of Tirana gathered in front of the University. On the holiday, the president of the Central Committee of Professional Unions of Albania, Gogo Nushi, greets, then the parade begins. Assisting Enver Hoxha, Mehmet Shehu, Beqir Balluku, Ramiz Alia. The parade is opened by motorcycles with different flags. The pioneers present bouquets of flowers to the leaders. The students at the capital’s schools, the miners, and the workers of the work centres parade with portraits of the Soviet and Albanian leaders. Trade workers parade with the graphics of the implementation of the plan, of health, the gymnastic youth of the Capital, the art and culture workers with the portraits of Lenin and Enver, while the students of our country and those of friendly countries parade, shaking each other’s hands.
