Dancing in the evening. The girls of the village have created an anti-aircraft battery with Marike’s initiative. The bell rings. Alarm. Marika walks to the battery position, with rifle and military clothes. Marika plays the role of signifier. The place of Marike’s daughter has been taken by her little son.
