In 1962, there were 1,500,000 more olive roots and the production is exceptional. The villagers pick them by hand so that the olives are not damaged. Olives are picked in the oil factory and in the canning factory. For the increase of olives, the state has created seedlings of the State Industrial Enterprise in Elbasan, Berat, Vlore. Grown seedlings are plucked, packaged, and taken to be planted. The army wants 260,000 olive roots. Beqir Balluku comes among the soldiers. The army participated in the planting of vineyards in Lushnje, Durres, Levan, Vlore. The burning of needles and bushes is done. Within 15 days, 450 ha of land were deforested, 87,000 pits were dug.
