| Description | The fourth Congress of the People’s Youth Union of Albania. Tirana shines with torches on the vigil of November 23, the 20th anniversary of the foundation of the youth organization and its 4th Congress. In the rally organized on this occasion, Rapo Dervishi on behalf of the Tirana Party Committee warmly welcomes the young people and the friendly delegates of the capital. On November 23, the Congress started its work. 646 delegates will participate. Jorgja Premti declares the Congress open. The report on the activity of the Central Committee of the Youth Union was given by Todi Lubonja. Ramiz Alia, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the Albanian Labour Party, brings warm greetings to the Congress from the Central Committee of the Albanian Labour Party. Haxhi Lleshi, on behalf of the presidium of the People’s Assembly, informs the Congress about the decoration of the youth organization with the high order of socialist work. Delegates place wreaths on the graves of the martyrs. Congress received many gifts from youth organizations. Different delegates speak. Sotir Kamberi welcomes you on behalf of the Professional Unions. Vito Kapo of the women’s union, Major General Abaz Fejzo of the popular army and the pioneers. Ndjong Buhona brought the greetings of the world federation of democratic youth. Askar Zamora on behalf of the international union of students, Lan Tu Piu from the heroic Chinese communist youth. Flags are given to the winners of the races in honours of the Congress. On behalf of the Central Committee of Youth, Todi Lubonja promised the Party that the youth will honourably perform the duties according to the order of the Party for building socialism. (265.50m) |
