| Description | The 5th Congress of the Union of Women of Albania. Nexhmije Hoxha, member of the leadership of the General Council of the Union of Women of Albania, declares the Congress open. The report is given by Vito Kapo, president of the Albanian Women’s Union, Spiro Koleka, member of the Political Bureau, welcomes the Congress on behalf of the Central Committee of the Albanian Labour Party. 574 women from the best daughters of the people and delegates from many countries of the world take part in the Congress. Enver Hoxha and other leaders also take part. On behalf of the Women’s Democratic Front and the Japanese Women’s Federation, Zuki Kushida welcomes you. Suk Jun Ju, deputy of the Pan Chinese assembly, welcomes you on behalf of the Chinese sisters. She presents the Congress with an embroidered flag, then greets the other foreign delegates who express their admiration for the great successes achieved by Albanian women in building socialism. Welcome to the fates and pioneers of the capital. Nefo Muftiu, general secretary of the Albanian Women’s Union, announces the results announced in honours of the Congress. With the red flag of the Congress, the organizations of the Korca district and the women’s organizations of the city of Tirana and that of the Peshkopia district are honoured. (239.85m) |
