Synopsis | Mountains sceneries Workers with chisels and pistols cutting the rock from which they take the decorative marble. The stones are loaded onto trucks and brought to the “Josif Pashko” plant where they are processed. The stones come from Qafeshtama, Karaburuni and Peshkopija. Stone cutting at the factory with special machines. After cutting, the stones go to the polishing department and so on until they are cut into slabs. Marble is diverse. Red marble is cut more slowly as it is stronger. The first tiles are being used to cover the walls of the Great Palace of Culture in the centre of Tirana.
