| Synopsis | The film begins with beautiful panoramas of the Durrës beach and then the port. The ship “Transilvania” is in the harbor. Tourists disembark from the ship, having come to visit Albania. They travel by bus to the “Tourism” hotel in Durrës (Hotel Adriatik). Among the tourists is a young German couple. At the hotel, they are given a beautiful room with a balcony from which they can see the sea filled with people. The tourists swim in the sea, take boat rides, and relax. Some children build a sand siren. The holiday camp in Dhërmi, the clear sea, and an underwater swimmer are shown. A beautiful panorama of the village of Dhërmi follows. A March panorama from Llogara shows the valley and the sea with waves. Views of mountains covered in snow and mist, where livestock graze, and a waterfall. Some hunters go hunting, while fishermen mend their nets. Then comes tourist Butrint, where visitors explore ancient monuments. Shkodër is shown, along with its panorama and Rozafa Castle. The city of Krujë and Skanderbeg’s castle. The castle of Berat and a church nearby. Women in traditional costumes work at home. Two elderly highlanders from Peshkopi smoke. Women fetch water at the fountain and work wool, spinning and weaving carpets. At an exhibition, handicrafts such as glass sets are displayed. A female tourist accepts a handmade scarf. There are beautiful views of a hydropower plant and of the city of Tirana, including the Central Committee building and the “Dajti” Hotel. Panoramas of Saranda, Pogradec, Vlora and others follow. At the “Tourism” hotel in Vlora, tourists dance and take motorboat rides at sea. The film concludes with beautiful panoras—sunset, sea figs, large cacti, a mountain village, and surrounding mountains. |
