| Description | Delegation of the French Communist Party in Albania. On June 24, 1957, a delegation of the French Communist Party headed by Jean Velmes, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the French Communist Party, arrived in our country. At the airport, the delegation is expected by Enver Hoxha and other leaders. The delegation of the French Communist Party places wreaths on the graves of the martyrs where it meets with some mothers of the martyrs. They visit the house museum where the Albanian Communist Party was founded. Talks begin at the headquarters of the Central Committee. The delegation visits the “Stalin” textile factory, the coast of Vlora where the sea looks beautiful with the waves crashing on the rocks. They visit the city “Stalin”. At the Institute of Zootechnics in Shkoder, the delegation saw up close the improvement of the breed of dogs. On July 2, the joint declaration is signed, signed by Enver Hoxha for the Albanian side and Jean Velmes for the French side. Assisted by Mehmet Shehu, Beqir Balluku, Manush Myftiu, Spiro Koleka, Gogo Nushi, Ramiz Alia, Haki Toska, Adil Carcani. On this occasion, a large rally is held in “Skanderbeg” square, attended by about 60,000 people. Hysni Kapo and Jean Velmes speak at the rally. On July 3, the delegation leaves Albania. At the airport it is accompanied by the leadership. |
