| Description | Proceedings of the first session of the 8th Legislature of the People’s Assembly. Tirana 1974. On October 28, the first session of the 8th legislature was opened. The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Party Enver Hoxha, Mehmet Shehu, Hysni Kapo, Haxhi Lleshi, Ramiz Alia, Adil Carcani, Spiro Koleka entered the hall. Deputy Zylyftar Veleshnja speaks on behalf of the deputies and declares the session open. The mandate review commission is approved. Deputies take the oath. Deputy Pilo Peristeri proposed the chairman of the popular assembly, which was unanimously approved. Chairman of the People’s Assembly Iliaz Reka proposes the agenda. Piro Gusho proposes the composition of the assembly commission. Charged by the Central Committee of the Party, deputy Hysni Kapo proposes the presidium of the popular assembly with chairman Haxhi Lleshi. The proposal is approved unanimously. After resigning as government, Enver Hoxha takes the floor. Then Mehmet Shehu also speaks. During the break, Enver meets Jashar Mezenxhiu. Warm conversation between them.
