| Synopsis | It begins with a panorama of our mountains and an eagle flying. Short shots follow of buildings and panoramic views of Tirana filmed from an airplane. At Rinas Airport, the leaders of the Party and the State welcome the Arab delegation as it descends from the plane. On this occasion, the chairman of the committee of the friendship society with Arab countries, Bilbil Klosi, and Asfir Ratvan, Minister of National Guidance of the United Arab Republic, deliver speeches. The delegation takes part in the May 1st Parade. The people march past. On the tribune stand Comrades Enver Hoxha, Mehmet Shehu, Manush Myftiu, as well as the Arab delegation. The pioneers perform dances in front of the tribune. The delegation’s first visit is to the People’s Assembly, then to the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Party of Labour of Albania, where they are received by Enver Hoxha, Mehmet Shehu, Manush Myftiu, and Ramiz Alia. They also visit the presidency of the Muslim Committee, where Sulejman Myrto and the Arab delegation pray afterward in a mosque of the capital. In Tirana, a conference is held for the establishment of the friendship society with Arab countries. The meeting is opened by the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Manush Myftiu. Speeches are delivered by Bilbil Klosi, followed by Aleksandër Xhuvani, Nefo Myftiu and others. From the Arab delegation, Minister of National Guidance Asfir Ratvan speaks, as well as Ahmet Muhamet Elhami from the Republic of Yemen, the Algerian delegate, and the delegate of Oman. The conference approves the presidency of the society. The delegation visits the National Liberation War Museum and the University of Tirana, where they also see its laboratory. The guests are greeted by the rector of the university, Zija Këlliçi, and by Minister Asfir Ratvan. This is followed by visits to the Archaeological Museum, the “Stalin” Textile Combine, and the “Karl Marx” Hydropower Plant. In the city of Durrës, the guests visit King Zog’s palace, see the bust of Mujo Ulqinaku, the “Tourism” hotel by the seaside, and more. In the city of Shkodër, the delegation is warmly welcomed by the people. They visit the “Migjeni” Theater, recently built, the cigarette factory, and the Rozafa Castle, from where the lake can also be seen. Back in Tirana, the delegation visits a kindergarten where they dance together with the children, accompanied by Manush Myftiu. At the Opera and Ballet Theater, an artistic program is performed. The ballet group performs a highland dance, and Pavlina Nika sings an Arabic song. Manush Myftiu is also in attendance. At the airport, the delegation is seen off by the people and the Albanian leadership, while the pioneers present them with flowers. On the visit of the delegation of Arab countries to Albania. |
