DESCRIPTION:PREMIERE | HER CHILDREN (Hakani\, 1957) \n69 years after its production\, one of the earliest milestones of Albanian cinema returns to the screen. \nThe Central State Film Archive of Albania invites you to the premiere of the restored film Her Children (1957)\, a work of particular significance in the history of Albanian cinema. \n📅 17 SEPTEMBER 2026\n🕡 6:30 PM\n📍 DRITA CINEMA – AQSHF \nHer Children is the first Albanian short feature film produced by Kinostudio “Shqipëria e Re”. The film was directed by Hysen Hakani\, who presented it as his diploma work at the Academy of Arts in Prague. \nThis return to the screen holds a special significance for our Archive as well: Her Children is the first restoration carried out entirely by AQSHF specialists\, in the institution’s Audiovisual Studio\, marking an important step in strengthening our capacity to preserve and restore Albania’s film heritage. \nThe restoration was carried out by specialists Erand Meça and Hajrije Dedej and included the digital scanning of the original film material\, image stabilization\, removal of physical damage\, correction of contrast and density\, and recovery of the visual quality as closely as possible to the original\, while respecting the authenticity of the work. \nDIRECTOR & SCREENPLAY\nHysen Hakani \nMUSIC\nTish Daija \nCINEMATOGRAPHY\nSokrat Musha \nEDITING\nVitori Çeli \nCAST\nMarie Logoreci · Marika Kallamata · Naim Frashëri · Xhemal Berisha · Loro Kovaçi · Vangjeli Pikuli · Esma Agolli · Pjetër Gjoka · Bejtulla Kurtheshi \nSynopsis \nThe 1950s. In a remote mountain village\, a rabid dog bites Fatime’s son. The village doctor advises her to go to the city to seek the necessary medical treatment for the child\, but she chooses instead to take him to Remja\, a woman who practices traditional magical healing.
