Tana is a landmark for Albanian cinema. The story of a bright and enthusiastic young collective farm worker caught between two men vying for her affections. Tana is Albania’s first feature- length film featuring a wondrous performance by our still-living legend of the big screen, Tinka Kurti, who plays the title role. Tana is a film of light and nature, a black and white drama of vitality and movement which unfortunately would be lost from our country’s cinema as the clouds of dictatorship grew darker.
