Description Viktor Stratobërdha was born on May 15, 1925, in Korçë. He completed his higher studies in Moscow in film directing in 1953, where he defended his diploma as assistant director of the film “Skanderbeg.” In 1954 he was appointed at the Kinostudio, where he produced two documentary films, “Happy Holidays” and “Greetings, Comrade Students.” In 1955 he made his first attempt to shoot the short film “We Laugh Because We Cannot Cry,” a film that was censored, and only three short episodes have remained from it under the title “Why Like This?” 1. On the bad habits of people. In an apartment, an elderly woman brings in a goat, a small boy climbs up and sees that the apartment is filled with water, another elderly woman chops wood inside the room. 2. On combating bad habits. A small boy lights a cigarette in the street. In a pastry shop, the seller gives two cigarettes instead of change, which the children take to smoke. 3. On combating shortcomings. The cameramen have filmed people pushing each other to get onto a bus.
