| Synopsis | Views of alpine highlands covered in snow. A valley with a river flowing through it. A northern field where a tractor is working. High-voltage power lines are being erected. Scenes of metal smelting. Work in a lathe workshop. View of the main boulevard of Kukës. Highlanders descend in groups toward Kukës. Enver Hoxha, accompanied by Ramiz Alia, Sadik Bekteshi, and D. Poçi, arrives in Kukës. He meets with Party and state officials and stands among the people who welcome him enthusiastically. Children, men, women, and youth embrace him. A rally follows with greetings; people dance while drums, the çifteli, and the cyrla play continuously. It begins to rain. The First Secretary of the district Party, Izet Durmishi, greets the crowd. Amid enthusiastic cheers for the Party and Enver Hoxha, he addresses the people. On the tribune are also Sul Baholli and Haxhi Kroi. At the martyrs’ cemetery in Kukës, Enver Hoxha and Ramiz Alia lay wreaths. The monument is visible. Enver Hoxha speaks with the mother of the Hero of Socialist Labor, Muhamet Shehu. He and Ramiz Alia talk with copper metallurgists in Kukës. The plant is shown, with molten copper being poured into molds. He arrives in the town of Bajram Curri, where people greet him with songs and dances. He lifts a child in his arms. From the tribune of a rally in Bajram Curri, he addresses the crowd. He and Ramiz Alia lay flowers at the martyrs’ graves. Sadik Bekteshi and Sadik Bocaj are visible. They visit the town museum, where photographs of patriots such as Bajram Curri, Niman Suka, Sali Mani, Haxhi Zogu, and Gjelosh Rama are displayed. A dinner is held in his honor, where he raises a toast with Shaban Rec Hajdarmataj, who lost both legs at work. Views of the Valbona gorge and the river flowing below. Enver Hoxha stands at the Valbona bridge. Scenes of Dragobi, with high mountains and an enthusiastic welcome. He embraces the locals and an elderly man. Dritëro Agolli is seen writing. A girl sings while playing the çifteli. Enver Hoxha and Ramiz Alia lay flowers at the place where Bajram Curri was killed. Snow-covered mountains. Llambi Peçini is visible. The rock where Bajram Curri spent the winter is shown, along with busts of Bajram Curri and Alush Shabani. A gathering takes place in the cave of Dragobi, where Enver Hoxha meets veteran fighters and comrades of Bajram Curri, including Ali Shabani and patriot Mysli Tahiri. Views of the mountains and the seven gorges of Dragobi. Forests of Qafë Mali, Dardha, and Tuç are shown, along with woodcutters at work. Enver Hoxha meets them. He and his entourage arrive in Pukë. The rally is opened by Pali Miska, First Secretary of the district Party. Enver Hoxha speaks as the square resounds with cheers. Dancing continues to the sound of the çifteli and drums. He and Ramiz Alia lay wreaths at the martyrs’ cemetery in Pukë and visit the local museum. They then arrive at the Mao Zedong Hydropower Plant. Scenes from work at the plant. A rally is organized, opened by Prokop Murra, First Secretary of the Party of Shkodër district, who gives the floor to Enver Hoxha. He speaks, followed by applause and enthusiastic cheers for the Party and Enver Hoxha. |
