| Synopsis | The delegation led by Zhou Enlai visits the cadets of the “Enver Hoxha” United School. Zhou Enlai, Mehmet Shehu, and Beqir Balluku review the guard of honor. The delegation visits the school’s work cabinet. At the State University of Tirana, in the main hall, professors and students gather. On this occasion, the rector of the university, Kahreman Ylli, speaks. On January 8 in Tirana, the joint declaration is signed by Mehmet Shehu and Zhou Enlai. A large rally is organized at the “Partizani” Palace. The rally is opened by the First Secretary of the Party Committee of the district, Rrapo Dervishi, who gives the floor to Mehmet Shehu, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the People’s Socialist Republic of Albania (synchronous), followed by Zhou Enlai (synchronous). The Internationale is sung. In honor of the delegation, the Central Committee and the Council of Ministers organize a dinner at the Palace of Brigades. At the dinner, Enver Hoxha and Zhou Enlai deliver speeches, after which they dance an Albanian dance together. The next day, the delegation departs for its homeland. Along the way, the entire population of Tirana comes out to see them off, up to Rinas. The commander of the guard of honor reports the troops. Mehmet Shehu and Zhou Enlai review the guard of honor and greet the people. Hysni Kapo is also present at the farewell. |
