The General of the Dead Army by Ismail Kadare, between history, literature and cinema

“The General of the Dead Army” by Ismail Kadare, between history, literature and cinema” is the title of the second meeting of the seminar series “Reflected glances: Albania between West and East” (November 19, 2024, 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm, Palazzo du Mesnil, Napoli, Italy), during which the film “The Return of the Dead Army” (Kthimi i ushtrisë së vdekur) by Dhimitër Anagnosti (1989) will be screened, in the original Albanian language with Italian subtitles translated by the students of the UNIOR Albanian Language and Literature department.

The meeting is organized within the framework of the bilateral agreement between the DSLLC and the Albanian National Film Archive of Tirana, in collaboration with the ALMA center and with the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Italy.

Speakers will include: Nicoletta Marini D’Armenia, Augusto Guarino, Roland Sejko, Blerina Suta, Carlo Vecce e Eriona Vyshka.
